I am starting back up on the Path of Fire timeline on my level 80 warrior. I am on part 4 (The Sacrifice). This quest has a lot of points I cannot reach since I don't have the springer mount yet. I got the the point where I need my raptor to jump a gap but its too far. I leveled up canyon jumping fully but I have 0 mastery points (it looks like Purple mastery points are used to unlock mount abilities in Guild Wars 2 Path of Fire. Since the mounts – Raptor, Springer, Jackal, Skimmer are so important for puzzles and getting around, these points are essential. You can find lots of them scattered around the map, locked behind various challenges. Just a flesh wound.3589. You will need to have PoF expansion then unlock mounts by doing the first story section on that map. Then level the raptor enough on the PoF maps to get the long jump skill that will let you reach the Heart on a different map that has the Springer Mount. Then you need to level the Springer Mount in the PoF maps till you
The mount is acquired by achieving third tier Mastery of either the Springer or Skimmer. The easier option is using the Skimmer through the sulfur to access the area Djinn Enclave in Sand Jackal

The Dismount "trick" has gotten me killed once though. First time experiencing it, I was just trying to get away from some Harpies in Desert Highlands while on Springer (the Renown Heart you need to complete to get the Springer for free use). Used the "1" Engage skill to plummet faster so I wouldn't get dismounted up on the plateau with them.
