One of the best titles released for the PS4 was 2018's God of War developed by Sony's Santa Monica Studio. And just because a new generation of hardware launched shouldn't mean we stop enjoying it.
God of War is not a launch PS5 title, for that you would be looking at Demon's Souls or Spiderman Miles Morales. With that being said I would go with God of War, I don't think it is overwhelmingly big, and it is currently half off in the ps store, 9.99€. With PS plus it is 7.99€. 18.

Definitely the 2018 God of war, which is also on ps4 you don't need to play the original 3 if you don't want to, you could probably get away with just watching the cutscenes of the original 3 on youtube to get an idea of who Kratos was. But yea, play the 2018 God of war and you should be golden for Ragnarok. Just play the GoW 2018..
